The Atwater Outlaws won the 18u Western World Series this past weekend in Reno.
Rugby has hit Merced! A group of us play rugby Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 pm at Merced College. We are always looking for more players. High school students, college students, out of school - it doesn't matter. If you're looking for something to do to remain active, come on out. Griselda garcia had a well played game moving to fill in at forward position. Maribel Lopez and Arlene Mariscal played a strong defense frustrating the Waterford attack.

2nd half
LG Denise Lopez scored in the 1st minute from a pass from Veronica Lupian. TC Emily MacLaren scored in the 20th minute from a direct kick. LG Denise Lopez scored at the 29th minute a pass from Veronica Lupian. LG Goalkeeper Nora Zaragoza had 3 saves and Maggie Perez had2 saves. TC Goalkeeper Jessica Linville had 5 saves.

The Atwater Outlaws summer fast-pitch travel team will be holding tryouts on Sunday, April 20 and 27 at 10 a.m. at the Atwater High softball diamonds.

The two bottom teams of the CCC did battle today at Rancho Del Rey golf course. With pride, city and course bragging rights on the line, both teams shot thier best rounds of the year. Buhach's Wade Kidwiler turned in his career round today. Jason Frank carded his lowest round of the season. Buhach improves to 2-4 in league play and 5-4 overall while Atwater drops to 1-5 in league and 2-5 overall.
Le Grand's Griselda Garcia scored from a Denise Lopez pass at 30 minutes of the 1st half. The halftime score was LG 1 Mariposa 0. At 12 minutes into the 2nd half Nancy Medina scored on a shot from the outside. Mariposa's Jennifer Ritter score at 17 minutes in the 2nd half. Rubi Medina of LG scored on a pass from Veronica Lupian at 30 minutes. Denise Buskeness of Mariposa scored on a penalty kick at 34 minutes. LG's Denise lopez scored in the final minute on pass from Arlene Mariscal.
Strong defensive play from Maribel Lopez LG's sweeper kept the pressure on Mariposa's attack.
We had some defensive breakdowns that allowed Delhi scoring opportunities in which they capitalized on. We had our shot opportunities but couldn't seem to find the net. Delhi went into half with a 4-1 lead. Deffensive halftime adjustments held Delhi to just 2 second half shots and we we fortunate to find the net and with a final minute Denise Lopez goal escaped with the tie. Strong midfield play by Veronica Lupian and Rubi Medina helped keep Delhi on the defensive.
