Rob Scheidt staying as Merced head coach

You may have already read the breaking news earlier today at mercedsunstar.com, but Merced High football coach Rob Scheidt is staying with the team.

Scheidt withdrew his name from consideration for the open Clovis West coaching position on Tuesday.

So what does this mean for Merced football? If you were in Scheidt's shoes, what would you have done?

Congrats to MHS and Rob Scheidt. Now we need to the community to step up and continue to support the premier football program in the area. I Challenge all you MHS alum to show your support for MHS Athletics and help MHS become one of the premier schools in the state. It is amazing to see soooo many people at the games on Friday nites, lets keep it up and find new ways to support this Awsome team.
